ilovetrains63 — 26 de Setembro de 2009 — My arrangement of "Those Were The Days." It was released on August 30, 1968. It was Mary Hopkin's debut single. It is credited to Gene Raskin, who put English lyrics to the Russian gypsy song "Dorogoi."
.
"Dorogoi dlinnoyu," ("Дорогой длинною"), written by Boris Fomin (1900-1948) with words by the poet Konstantin Podrevskii. It deals with reminiscence upon youth and romantic idealism. The first known recording of the song was by Alexander Vertinsky in the 1920's.

Photo source: The Internet. Some of the trolleys are from the early days of San Diego, Ca. (circa 1890's, and early 1900's) Some are from San Francisco, Ca., and Los Angeles, Ca. in the early days. Most of the color photos of the trolleys, (street cars), are from the "Orange Empire Railroad Museum" in Perris, California.
